For the last few weeks I’ve been busy doing painting of another kind, decorating my hall and stairs.
We’ve lived here for over 3 years now and I got to the point where I just couldn’t look at the dullness any longer. Something had to be done! I’ll share the after pictures in a future post when it’s getting nearer to the finishing line but all I’ll say for now is that I have green, pink and yellow and it’s definitely beginning to look much happier than the picture above!
Yesterday we had a long awaited day out and went to the National Trust property Killerton near Exeter in Devon.
The day was sunny and the first hints of spring were everywhere in the woods, it was so beautiful.
After a long break from doing any arty type of painting I felt like I’d forgotten how to do it. I decided to get my old pieces of collage paper out and stick them in my sketchbook and see what would happen from there without any plan or vision of what I was going to do.
It’s a bit messier than I’d like but it’s in my sketchbook which makes ‘messy’ ok. It helped me feel my way back into creating again.
I’ve started another page and I’m beginning to feel like I’m getting back into the swing of it again.
See you next time with an update of my hallway and my newest art.
I can't wait to see what your hallway looks like when it's finished, Jess! I'm so glad you're easing your way back into creating art too. x
So many beautiful pictures, looks like Spring is definitely coming soon 😍 your art is so joyful, love all the colours 😊 P.S.- also very curious to see your update about the wall/stairs! 👋
