While most people are out partying on new year’s eve, I celebrated another year around the sun.🌞 It’s become a tradition on my birthday to go out for the day to the seaside because I love the seaside! This year we travelled along the south coast. Our first stop was Sidmouth where we had a walk along the seafront and lunch in the sunshine, the next stop was Beer with a walk on the beach and finally Lyme Regis enjoying the beautiful views and watching the sun leave its final glow on 2024.
Every year over christmas I make new year’s resolutions and get excited for the start of the beginning of January when I can change my life into the best one possible.
Of course it never happens.😏
So my new year’s resolutions from now on will be to delay the dive into the new year, to finish up the christmas chocolate and to slowly ease myself into a routine again. That sounds achievable doesn’t it?
One thing I never need a break from is crochet or knitting.
This is a baby blanket I made from crocheting ‘granny squares’.
I love the bright colours, it was a joy to make!
There’s going to be a new little member of the family arriving quite soon so I’ve been happily knitting away too!
This was fun to make with these gorgeous colours!
I’ve recently been sharing some of my sketchbook pages on my notes and I might continue with this because I’m enjoying Substack far more than the socials where the ads and AI are far too annoying aren’t they?
💗I wish you a very happy new year with love, health and all you hope for to come true!💗
Happy new year!
Hello from Toronto, Canada, where we can use some colourful cheer. These are beautiful, Jess.
