I did my first two paintings with gouache in the last 2 weeks. I was intimidated at first, but it is super cool. Painting the tops of the lids seems like a great idea…it makes finding the color you want so much easier😎
Thanks Zinia! I tried gouache on and off for years, mostly off🫣 but now it’s my absolute favourite. You should definitely give it a go, especially the acrylic gouache. It behaves like normal acrylic but without the plastic shine.☺️
Painting the lids is a great idea... just watch out for any tricksters on April Fools Day! 😉

What a brilliant idea! It must make it so much easier when you're in flow. Such a beautiful bright painting too!
Thanks so much Nanette!🥰
So lovely! I’ve always been scared of gouache, but you may have convinced me!

Gorgeous! Maybe another little sneaky trip to the art shop is in order!
Now I can’t wait until preschool is back in session tomorrow to go paint all my lids!
Yay!🙌🏼 It's changed everything!
I don't use acrylic gouache (yet) but this is so pleasant to watch 🤭😍 I imagine hoe satisfying it is for you now to pick the colours!
It really has made a difference!😍
Nice idea re gouache lids - mine are just in a jumble in a tin too also love the layering effect with the acrylic ink will have to try ❤️
Thanks Sonia! It really was a game changer for me. I love seeing all the colours together like that, its very inspiring and makes me want to paint! 🥰
